Prof. F. Sadikoglu graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Computing Technology of Azerbaijan State Industrial & Petroleum University (old-Azerbaijan State Oil Academy).

After graduation, he served as a research assistant at the Signal Processing Laboratory of Azerbaijan State Industrial & Petroleum University. His Ph.D. studies were devoted to the development of Real-Time Systems for Acquisition, Transmission, and Processing of Information. Between 1983-1988, he worked at the Azerbaijan State Industrial & Petroleum University in Baku as an Associate Professor and Director of Research Laboratory of the Information Measurement and Computing System for Oil And Gas Industries.

He studied an intensive French Language course at the Kiev State University of Ukraine and then at the Paul Valery University of France (Montpellier) between 1987 and 1988. He lectured at universities of Algeria between 1988 and 1994 and founded the Signal & System and Digital Signal Processing Research Laboratories. He also elected as the head of the Soviet Specialists’ Association in Western Algeria.

He has been working at the Near East University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus since 1995.

He became the Head of the Department of Electric and Electronic Engineering between 1996-2000, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering between 2000-2013, Chairman of University Academic Promotion Commission and Vice-Rector between 2001-2019.

He also served as the Director of the Graduate School of Applied and Social Sciences starting from its establishment in 2004 to 2014.

He received many national and international awards and prizes, and he is a member of many international scientific institutions and foundations.

He has published over 100 articles and is the owner of 5 internationally recognized patents.

His main research areas are Digital Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Fuzzy Modeling, and Neural Computing. He currently serves as the guest editor of SCI journals and General Co-chair of the repudiated international conferences such as ICAFS, ICSCCW and ICTPE indexed by Scopus and Web of Science platforms.

Currently, he is a professor of the Computer Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering of Near East University.

Prof. Sadıkoğlu is fluent in Turkish, Russian, English and French languages.

He is married and has three children.
