Message of Professor Ahmad Valiyev, Rector of Odlar Yurdu University, on the Occasion of International Women's Day, March 8

Dear female faculty members, staff, and students of Odlar Yurdu University and Odlar Yurdu College,

I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th, and wish each of you good health, happiness, and endless success in your future endeavors.
Throughout our history, Azerbaijani women have been the moral backbone of our society, playing an indispensable role in preserving and developing the national identity of our people. Today, we remember our women, who, while preserving our rich cultural heritage, also transmit universal human values to future generations and give them life.
The foundation of women's policy in our country was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who, with deep respect and reverence for women, encouraged them to find their rightful place not only in the family but also in every sphere of society. He created conditions for women to unlock their potential to the fullest, enabling them to contribute to the country's progress, and laid the groundwork for their comprehensive development. This policy has been steadfastly continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, further strengthening the place and influence of Azerbaijani women in society.
We respectfully honor the brave sons of our nation who gave their lives in defense and liberation of our land. We express our gratitude and best wishes to the mothers of martyrs, the wives of soldiers who lost their health in the battles, and the mothers who are raising the future defenders of our nation.
I am confident that the Azerbaijani woman, aware of her responsibility, will continue to contribute to the development of our independent republic in the future.
