A scientific-methodological seminar on "The Role and Tasks of Independent Audit in Sustainable Development Conditions" was organized at Odlar Yurdu University by the Department of Economics and Economic Relations. The seminar’s guest was Najaf Talibov, honorary auditor of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Georgia.
The seminar began with an opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Ali Alirzayev. Professor Alirzayev highlighted the relevance of the seminar and the importance of independent audit in the context of sustainable development. He emphasized the critical role independent auditing plays in enhancing transparency, reliability, and accountability within organizations.
Najaf Talibov, as a guest speaker, discussed the principles, methodology, and challenges faced by independent auditing in today’s era. He explained the strategic significance of independent audit in socio-economic development and ensuring environmental sustainability. Talibov noted that auditors' role is not limited to verifying financial reports but also involves risk management and shaping organizational strategies.
