Gafarov Gabil Alkhan was born on December 20, 1979 in the village of Garabulag, Amasiya region of Western Azerbaijan, in an intellectual family.

In 1998, he entered the "Construction" faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and graduated with honors in 2002.

In 2002, he entered the master's degree in the same specialty and graduated with honors in 2004.

In 2004-2007, he was a full-time graduate student of the "Operation and Reconstruction of Buildings and Facilities" department of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and conducted research to obtain the title of Doctor of Philosophy in technical sciences on the topic "Purification of oil-containing dirty water by electrochemical methods".

He has published 12 articles in well-known local and foreign magazines.

In total, more than 35 articles were published during his studies.

He received a positive opinion from two state institutions (Azdovsutaslayiha Institute of Reclamation and Water Management OJSC and "Sukanal" Scientific Research and Project Institute of Azersu OJSC) regarding the application of the results obtained in his scientific work.

In 2012, he graduated from the "Law" faculty of Baku State University with an honors diploma.

He started his career in 2006 as the assistant chairman of "Azersutikinti" OJSC.

In 2007/2012, he worked as the head of the Estimation, Project, Production and Industry department of OJSC, and in 2012/2013, he worked as the head of the legal department of the enterprise.

In 2013-2015, he worked as the Chief of Staff of the Binagadi District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party.

In the 2013 presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was elected a member of the election staff of the President of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev based on the presentation sent by the YAP Central Office to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In 2016-2018, he worked as the head of the Information Department of the Accreditation and Nostrification Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Since 2018, he has been working as vice-rector for "Organization of education process and new learning technologies" at Odlar Yurdu University.

He is married and has 2 children.
