Within the framework of the “Constitution and Sovereignty” Year, Odlar Yurdu University held a large-scale event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, titled “Eternal Leader, Eternal Sovereignty – Heydar Aliyev and the Construction of a Legal State.”
The event began with a flower-laying ceremony at the bust of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, located in the university foyer, and continued in the auditorium. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of the National Leader was honored with a minute of silence.
A short video reflecting Heydar Aliyev’s life and work was shown during the event.
Following this, the Rector of Odlar Yurdu University, Professor Ahmad Valiyev, delivered the opening speech, stating that National Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for Azerbaijan’s independent statehood and made significant contributions to the establishment of a legal state. The rector noted that the first Constitution, adopted in 1995, was prepared and enacted under the leadership and political will of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Professor Ahmad Valiyev also emphasized the necessity of instilling these values in the younger generation.
Subsequently, the winners of the essay-writing, drawing, recitation, oratory, and logic-knowledge competitions, held on the topic of “Heydar Aliyev and the Construction of a Legal State,” were awarded honorary certificates.
As part of the event, a composition titled “The Savior of the People,” dedicated to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, was presented, followed by the performance of a song titled “The Great Commander,” which was dedicated to his mission as a savior.
This event, held at Odlar Yurdu University, once again emphasized the exceptional role of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan’s statehood and left a deep impression on the participants, highlighting patriotism.
