A solemn event titled “My Land of Fire, My Azerbaijan” was held at Odlar Yurdu University to mark the 107th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the 30th Anniversary of the University’s establishment.
The event commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered with high professionalism by the university's choir ensemble. This was followed by a minute of silence to honor the cherished memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s independence and territorial integrity.
As part of the program, Ayna Mammadova, Chair of the university’s Student Scientific Society, performed the poem “Motherland Soil” by the renowned poet Mammad Araz. Her emotional and patriotic recitation deeply moved the audience.
Next, university students Samad Muradov and Nuru Khudaverdiyev performed the song “Azerbaijan” as soloists, accompanied by the university choir, showcasing great artistic skill.
One of the emotionally stirring moments of the event was a heartfelt performance of the poem “Azerbaijan” by a group of students, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
This was followed by a patriotic composition titled “This Land” performed by students Rahila Dadashova and Sevinc Suleymanova, accompanied by the “Odlar Yurdu” dance ensemble, blending poetry, music, and movement.
In celebration of the university’s milestone anniversary, video presentations showcasing students' achievements over the past year were displayed. Students who had actively participated in national and international projects, demonstrated academic excellence, and maintained exemplary discipline were awarded honorary diplomas.
The event concluded with the performance of the song “I Rose Through Your Education” by university staff, dedicated to the university’s 30th anniversary. A specially prepared video clip highlighting the university’s three-decade journey of development and success was also presented.
The event left a strong impression with its uplifting and proud atmosphere, reinforcing the participants’ sense of national identity and deepening their belief in the transformative power of education.
