At Odlar Yurdu Universiteti, a meeting and book signing event was organized with Azerbaijani writer, member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, and “Golden Pen” award laureate Elxan Elatlı, initiated by the members of the Writers’ Club operating under the Student Trade Union Committee. The event took place at Kitabçı bookstore.
The meeting played a significant role in broadening students’ literary outlook and provided an excellent opportunity for young people to engage directly with one of the leading figures of modern Azerbaijani literature.
During the event, detailed information was presented about the writer’s creative journey, the socio-psychological themes in his works, the characteristics of character development, and the specifics of his literary style. The author also explained the stages of the writing process, from the formation of an idea to the final product, from a scientific and practical perspective. Additionally, he shared insights into the role of literature in the moral development of society.
In the interactive session, students’ questions enabled a multi-perspective approach to the writer’s творчество. Elxan Elatlı shared his personal creative experience and provided valuable advice on developing reading habits, maintaining writing discipline, and cultivating literary taste.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to have their books signed, take commemorative photos, and left the event highly motivated.
It should be noted that such events play an important role in students’ intellectual development, as well as in increasing their interest in literature and stimulating their creative potential.
