On this occasion, we respectfully commemorate the unparalleled heroism of the Azerbaijani people during World War II, and the selfless service of our brave sons and daughters both on the front lines and in the rear. Hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis, including our Heroes of the Soviet Union, sacrificed their lives for the homeland and for humanity, etching their names forever into history.
