Congratulations of the Rector of OYU, Professor Ahmad Valiyev, on October 18 – the Day of Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Dear colleagues, faculty members, and students of Odlar Yurdu University and Odlar Yurdu College,

On the occasion of October 18 – the Day of Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations to each of you with deep respect and great pride!
This sacred date embodies the determination, will, and love of freedom of our people. On this day in 1991, the people of Azerbaijan took their destiny into their own hands, restored their independence, and once again affirmed their place in the international community as a free and sovereign state.
The architect and savior of our independent state, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as a historic personality who ensured the eternity of our freedom, established the ideology of Azerbaijani statehood and strengthened the political, economic, and moral foundations of our nation. Thanks to his farsighted policy, wise leadership, and boundless love for his people, independent Azerbaijan embarked on the path of stability, development, and progress.
Today, the worthy successor of those eternal ideas – the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev – has elevated the power of independent Azerbaijan to new heights. Under his resolute leadership, wise policy, and unwavering loyalty to the people, one of the most glorious pages in our history has been written – the liberation of our lands and the restoration of our territorial integrity. This Victory stands as the most magnificent proof of our nation’s unity, our state’s strength, and the irreversibility of our independence.
As the Odlar Yurdu University and Odlar Yurdu College family, we take pride in being the successors of this honorable path. Serving the progress of our state through science, education, and creativity, and preserving our national values for future generations is our highest mission. The work of every member of our staff, faculty, and students contributes to this sacred endeavor.

On this remarkable day, I wish each of you robust health, a spirit of patriotism, and success in your academic and creative pursuits.

May our three-colored flag forever wave proudly, and may our independence remain unshakable and eternal!
