Odlar Yurdu University rector, prof. Ahmad Valiyev and vice-rector for quality assurance, innovations and international relations, prof. Fakhreddin Mammadov participated in the next trainings within the framework of the Erasmus+ project on "Strengthening the sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Azerbaijan higher education institutions" (ENGAGE), which is the coordinator of Mingachevir State University (MSU) and is funded by the European Commission.
The training was held at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Spain.
Within the framework of a one-week training program, the experience of UPC was studied in innovation management, entrepreneurial activities of universities, institutional support mechanisms for academic entrepreneurship, integration of entrepreneurship in university strategy and other areas.
On the first days of the training, the vice-rector for Quality and language policy of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Professor Imma Ribas, and the innovation specialist of the university, Matilda Cadene, gave speeches.
Later, the rector and vice-rector of our university got acquainted with the robot displayed at the event held at the MediaTIC&Intro Barcelona Activa center.
In the next days of the Erasmus+ project, the chairman of UNESCO in the field of management, prof. Vicenc Fernandez's speech took place and there was an introduction to the supercomputer center at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain.
The rector and vice-rector of our university participated in the hackathon part of the event held by Professor Vicenc Fernandez and made important contributions.
It should be noted that a 25-person delegation consisting of rectors, vice-rectors, administrative and academic staff members of 11 universities represented in the ENGAGE project participated in the training.
