Today, November 17th, is one of the most significant and unforgettable days in the history of Azerbaijan. This day symbolizes the peak of the Azerbaijani people's struggle for independence, the spirit of the nation, and the love for freedom. November 17th marks the day Azerbaijan restored its independence, and our nation united to move toward great historical goals. This remarkable date demonstrates, once again, the Azerbaijani people's unwavering attachment to their independence and their boundless desire for freedom and sovereignty on the global stage.

November 17th is the day when, in 1990, under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, a new phase in the independence struggle began in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. This day also marked the historical turning point when the three-colored flag of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was adopted as the state flag. From that moment on, steps taken toward strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence grew stronger, and the nation’s dream became a reality. Since then, under the wise leadership of Heydar Aliyev, significant steps have been taken to strengthen Azerbaijan’s independence and statehood.

The significance of National Revival Day lies not only in the historical victory but also in showcasing the strength, perseverance, and willpower of the Azerbaijani people. This day also laid the foundation for the national awakening that began in the 1990s and paved the way for our country’s dynamic development and new successes. This national spirit, unity, and determination are the results of this.

On this remarkable day, I sincerely congratulate each and every one of you. Azerbaijan’s current achievements have been attained through the hard work and dedication of every one of us in our respective fields. Drawing inspiration from these great historical moments, we must all fulfill our duties to make Azerbaijan’s future even brighter and strengthen our independence. Today, we must continue working together, proud of our country’s path, to ensure tomorrow’s success.
