An international scientific conference "Smart environment and green technologies" indexed in "Scopus" was held under the organization of OYU

An international scientific conference called "Smart environment and green technologies" indexed in "Scopus" was held at "Hilton Baku" hotel in Baku under the organization of Odlar Yurdu University.
Giving general information about the conference, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of OYU, prof. Samir Valiyev reminded that 2024 has been declared the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in our country by the relevant order of the head of the country.
He spoke about the protection of the ecological balance and environment in Azerbaijan, the efficient use of alternative energy sources, as well as the work done in the direction of climate change prevention.
According to the orders of the president of the country, Karabakh, Eastern Zangezur and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republics have been declared green energy zones.
He emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev not only achieved the development of Azerbaijan as a powerful energy state during his tenure, but at the same time, due to his determination and iron will, he fully ensured the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country and created new historical realities under his leadership.
Then the vice-rector for quality assurance, innovations and international relations of OYU, prof. Fakhreddin Mammadov noted that during the period of independence, Azerbaijan hosted many historically significant international events, and stated that holding the international scientific conference "Smart environment and green technologies" in our country in 2024 is an indicator of Azerbaijan's growing influence in the international world.
Then at the conference "Deputy Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aminagha Sadigov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov, President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Ministry of Science and Education Academician Ali Abbasov, Director General of the Management Systems Institute, Professor Natig Javadov, Director General of the National Aerospace Agency, Sadiq Gurbanov, Chairman of the Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Committee of the National Assembly, MBA, BBA Program (Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (Azerbaijan) and Georgia State University (USA) joint program) director, academician Rafik Aliyev, world-renowned scientists, Canadian prof. Witold Pedrycz and Polish prof. Janusz Kacprzyk made a speech and noted the importance of the event.
They considered the decision to hold the international scientific conference "Smart environment and green technologies" in Baku, as well as the global support for Azerbaijan's "green energy" policy, commendable.
After the plenary session, the conference continued its work in sections.
A number of reports related to smart environment and green technologies were heard in the sections. Special attention was paid to new modules, new programs and work on artificial intelligence. At the conference, valuable speeches were heard about the ecosystems that are suitable for the creation of smart cities and smart villages.
Speakers who attended the conference from abroad attracted the attention of local researchers with their useful ideas. On the second day, valuable reports were heard with the participation of professors and teachers and guests at the ongoing conference at Odlar Yurdu University.
In conclusion, by the rector of our university, prof. Ahmad Valiyev it was proposed that international scientific conferences, attended by foreign and local scientists with great interest, should be organized on a larger scale in the coming years.
