A conference dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of academician Zarifa Aliyeva was held at Odlar Yurdu University

The Department of Biology and Ecology and the Student Scientific Society at Odlar Yurdu University organized a conference dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following this, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the great personalities — the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The conference was opened by the head of the Department of Biology and Ecology at Odlar Yurdu University, Professor Ramazan Mammadov, who emphasized that Academician Zarifa Aliyeva gained recognition both in Azerbaijan and internationally for her intellectual brilliance, wisdom, and research abilities. Professor Ramazan Mammadov stated that the life journey of Zarifa Aliyeva serves as a lesson in life, morality, perfection, and wisdom for every Azerbaijani. Thanks to her tireless work, thousands of people found healing, and Zarifa Aliyeva made significant contributions to the development of Azerbaijani healthcare.

As part of the conference, the Student Scientific Society and the Department of Biology and Ecology held a logic and knowledge competition titled "Through the Eyes of Intelligence – Zarifa Aliyeva Memorial Contest," with the winners being awarded prizes.

Students of Odlar Yurdu University highlighted the significant scientific legacy of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and her major contributions to Azerbaijani ophthalmology.

Later, a documentary film reflecting the activities of the prominent scientist Zarifa Aliyeva, prepared by the students, was screened.
