On behalf of Odlar Yurdu University and Odlar Yurdu College, we proudly and respectfully commemorate the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth

Today – May 10, 2025 – marks the 102nd anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people and a statesman of global stature.

As a prominent statesman of his era, the founder of the ideology of Azerbaijanism, and the architect of modern independent Azerbaijan, Great Leader Heydar Aliyev played an unparalleled role in the fate of our nation. He led our country through harsh historical challenges, bringing it to a path of stability and development. His determination, political will, and wisdom turned Azerbaijan’s rise on the world stage into a celebrated mission.

Although Heydar Aliyev is no longer with us physically, his ideas, the school of statehood he established, and his strategic foresight continue to live and flourish in every aspect of Azerbaijani life. The path of progress he defined is being firmly pursued today by the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev.

The 44-day Patriotic War of 2020 created the foundation for the realization of one of the Great Leader’s biggest dreams – the liberation of Karabakh. With the liberation of Shusha on November 8, the Azerbaijani people ended 28 years of longing, experiencing the bright triumph of patriotism, national unity, and collective will. President Ilham Aliyev fulfilled the Great Leader’s words — “There is no Karabakh without Shusha, and no Azerbaijan without Karabakh” — restoring historical justice and bringing the joy of victory to our nation.

On this significant day, Odlar Yurdu University and Odlar Yurdu College honor with deep respect, reverence, and eternal gratitude the cherished memory of the National Leader, who left an indelible mark on our nation's destiny.

How fortunate we are that his worthy successor, our powerful leader President Ilham Aliyev, is leading us forward!
