The 2nd International Scientific Conference on "Smart Environment and Green Technologies" was held under the organization of Odlar Yurdu University

The 2nd International Scientific Conference on "Smart Environment and Green Technologies", indexed in the Scopus scientific database, was successfully held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Baku, organized by Odlar Yurdu University. The conference began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In his opening speech, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Odlar Yurdu University, Member of Parliament, Professor Samir Valiyev emphasized the global importance of maintaining ecological balance, environmental protection, and combating climate change in the modern era. He stated that the development of green technologies and the efficient use of alternative energy sources are an essential part of the country’s sustainable development strategy.
Professor Valiyev also praised the efforts of Odlar Yurdu University in promoting scientific innovations and expanding international collaborations, highlighting the invaluable role of such international events in presenting the country’s scientific potential to the world.
Next, the Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance, Innovations, and International Relations of OYU, Professor Fakhraddin Mammadov, pointed out that Azerbaijan has hosted many important international events since gaining independence. He also noted that holding the “Smart Environment and Green Technologies” conference for the second time in the country was a reflection of Azerbaijan's growing international influence.
Following this, speeches were made by Professor Vaqif Abbasov, Director of the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Multifunctional Reagents at ANAS, Members of Parliament Sadıq Qurbanov and Ceyhun Mammadov, and the Director-General of the Management Systems Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education, Academic Ali Abbasov.
Additionally, world-renowned scholars such as Professor Witold Pedrycz from Canada, Professor Janusz Kacprzyk from Poland, and Professor M. Kheireddine Aroua from Sunway University, Malaysia, shared their insights on the significance of the event.
After the plenary session, the conference continued in various sections, where new modules, programs, and research on artificial intelligence in the field of smart environment and green technologies were presented. Valuable reports on the creation of appropriate ecosystems for smart cities and smart villages were also discussed.
The ideas of foreign speakers were met with great interest by local researchers. On the second day, the conference continued at Odlar Yurdu University with presentations by professors, academic staff, and guests.
