A literary meeting with young poet Səddam Laçın held at Odlar Yurdu University

A memorable literary meeting was held at Odlar Yurdu University with the participation of young poet Səddam Laçın — a member of the Writers’ Union, Presidential Scholar, and broadcast editor at ARB TV — organized by the Student Trade Union Committee.

The event began with an opening speech by the chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee, Hasan Gurbanli, who spoke about the purpose and significance of the meeting, emphasizing the importance of students' active participation in the literary and cultural environment.

Deputy Chair for Student Affairs, Asif Gulaliyev, also addressed the audience, highlighting the organization of the event and the positive impact of such meetings on students’ creative development.

The keynote speaker, Səddam Laçın, one of the talented voices of contemporary Azerbaijani poetry, spoke about his journey into literature, his life and creative path, and sources of inspiration, also reciting samples of his poetry. The questions posed by students led to a lively discussion, and the poet responded with sincerity.

During the event, the Vice-Chair of the Student Scientific Society, Nigar Ismayilova, also emphasized the significance of literary gatherings and stressed the importance of organizing them regularly.

At the end of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education, and Languages, Nurida Muxtarzadeh, expressed her gratitude to the guest poet and appreciated the value of such events for students.

Later, a member of the board of the “Yazarlar” Club and author of the book “Guarded Souls”, Aytan Karimova, shared her impressions of the event and introduced her book to the audience.

The meeting aroused great interest among the students of Odlar Yurdu University and further strengthened their appreciation for poetry and literary expression.
