“Five Proud Years of Victory” event held at Odlar Yurdu University

Odlar Yurdu University held a grand event titled “Five Proud Years of Victory” dedicated to the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s historic triumph on Victory Day – November 8.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the university students, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs who gave their lives for the homeland.
A short video dedicated to Victory Day deeply moved the audience, evoking pride and emotion. Afterwards, students performed a short play titled “If Neighbors Were Neighbors” and presented patriotic songs celebrating the victory.
Chairman of the Board of Odlar Yurdu University, Member of Parliament Professor Samir Valiyev, emphasized that November 8 – Victory Day is a shining symbol of the heroism, national unity, and devotion to the Motherland of the Azerbaijani people. He noted that this Victory was achieved through the wise leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the bravery of the Azerbaijani Army, and the blood of the martyrs.
Professor Valiyev also highlighted that the coincidence of the fifth anniversary of Victory with the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” is not accidental. It symbolizes the unity of two historical milestones – the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and the strengthening of its state sovereignty.
At the end of the event, the winners of the essay and knowledge contests dedicated to Victory Day were awarded, and participants took commemorative photos.
The event once again proved that Odlar Yurdu University is not only a center of science and education but also a prestigious institution that preserves national and spiritual values and fosters patriotism among youth.
