Opening Ceremony of the "FireLand Hackathon" held at Odlar Yurdu University

The opening ceremony of the inter-university competition, "FireLand Hackathon – Innovate the Future with AI," organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Odlar Yurdu University, took place at the University with high dynamics and great enthusiasm. The event was officially declared open with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Professor Elshad Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Relations of Odlar Yurdu University, took the stage for the opening speech. In his address, he emphasized that involving youth in innovation and technological initiatives holds a priority position among the strategic development directions of Odlar Yurdu University.
The event was also attended by Nigar Abdullayeva, a representative of the Innovation Ecosystem Department of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, and a project manager for ecosystem building in universities. She specifically noted the consistent support provided by the partner organization to the innovation initiatives of Odlar Yurdu University.
Subsequently, Ravana Goyushlu, Head of the Startup and Incubation Center of Odlar Yurdu University, gave a speech, providing general information about the hackathon's objectives, the immense interest it generated among students, and the high number of participants, and highlighted the event's contribution to the development of the innovation environment.
In the continuation of the official part, information about the awarding ceremony was presented by Riyad Aghazade, a representative of Coders Azerbaijan company. He pointed out that the work done by Odlar Yurdu University in the direction of forming an innovative environment created a special foundation for the organization of the hackathon.
The main goals of the "FireLand Hackathon" were to develop analytical and creative thinking in students, strengthen interest in the field of artificial intelligence, and support the formation of an entrepreneurial culture. This hackathon, held at Odlar Yurdu University, provided a unique platform for participants to create technological solutions to real-world problems and demonstrate their potential.
