An event dedicated to the Commemoration Day of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at OYU

A commemoration event titled "Living History" was organized at Odlar Yurdu University (OYU) to honor the architect and founder of independent Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The event began with a visit to the bust of the Great Leader in the university lobby and a flower-laying ceremony. This was followed by the National Anthem of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the National Leader.
Professor Samir Valiyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OYU and Member of Parliament, delivered the opening speech, highly praising Heydar Aliyev's unparalleled services in shaping Azerbaijani statehood. He emphasized that the National Leader’s political legacy continues to guide the country's development strategy today, a path successfully pursued by the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
Later, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at OYU, Professor Ali Alirzayev, shared personal memories of the Great Leader, highlighting his wisdom and philosophy of statehood. The event also featured speeches by students, who emphasized the value Heydar Aliyev placed on education and youth, stating that his ideas remain a primary source of inspiration and motivation for the young generation of Azerbaijan.
