The scientific and methodological seminar of the Doctor of Philosophy in Philological Sciences Sevinj Gambarova, teacher of the Department of Philology and Humanities, candidate of philological sciences was held at the OYU

The seminar was dedicated to the topic "Traces of ancient Turkic written monuments in Azerbaijani dialects". The speaker showed that there are certain groups of words used in the language of the monuments, which have lost their functionality at the level of the literary language in the Turkic languages and have been preserved in dialects. Thus, the words included in the study are used only in Azerbaijani dialects, which play the role of a living archive of the language. In the report, examples of ancient Turkic written monuments and dialects of the Azerbaijani language were given, comparisons were made with reference to the dictionary of the Kashgar language, examples of oral folk literature, the language of the classics. The scientific and methodological seminar was attended by the Deputy Head of the Department of Philology and Humanities, Associate Professor Osman Musaev and the faculty of the Department. The report aroused great interest among the participants of the meeting, wide discussions took place around the topic. Later, Professor Rustam Kamal made a wide speech on this occasion and very positively assessed the report. Sevinch Gambarova, candidate of philosophical sciences, answered the questions addressed to her and noted that this topic was processed in the form of an article and submitted to the journal "Turkology" of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS.
