A scientific-practical conference dedicated to Academician Zarifa Aliyeva's jubilee was held at OYU

A scientific-practical conference dedicated to academician Zarifa Aliyeva's 100th anniversary was held under the joint organization of Odlar Yurdu University's Department of Biology and Ecology and the Student Scientific Society.
Before the event, the participants of the conference commemorated prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva and laid flowers on her grave in the Alley of Honor.
The conference began with the singing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Later, the dear memories of the founder of the modern Azerbaijan state, the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the distinguished ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who lived a dignified and honorable life typical of Azerbaijani women, were commemorated with a minute of silence.
Odlar Yurdu University vice-rector for scientific affairs, professor Tarlan Abdullayev spoke about the great services of Zarifa Aliyeva, who made important contributions to Azerbaijani ophthalmology with her rich scientific heritage, to the people of Azerbaijan.
Then Ramil Sadigov, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and Ecology of OYU, made a speech and emphasized that the meaningful life path of Zarifa Aliyeva, who gained popularity with her broad outlook, high intelligence, and research skills, is a lesson of life and spirituality, a school of perfection and wisdom for every Azerbaijani. It was reported that Ms. Zarifa gave light to people with her tireless activity, and thousands of patients were treated with her healing hands.
Later, a documentary film showing the activities of the outstanding scientist Zarifa Aliyeva, prepared by our students, was shown.
It should be noted that the vice-rectors of Odlar Yurdu University, heads of departments and departments, teaching staff, students and invited guests took part in the conference.
The conference concluded with the speeches of the university students and the song "Mother" performed by our student, with lyrics by Fikret Goja and music by Sevil Aliyeva.
