A conference dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the January 20 Tragedy held at Odlar Yurdu University

A conference titled “The Indelible Traces of Our Unforgettable History” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the January 20 tragedy was organized at Odlar Yurdu University.
The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs. At the opening of the conference, Samir Valiyev, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, MP, and professor, delivered a speech. In his speech, he spoke about the significant role of the January 20 tragedy in our history, the invaluable efforts of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in conveying this truth to the world, as well as his historical services in the development of Azerbaijan and strengthening our national statehood, and his great salvational mission.
The conference continued with presentations by students from Odlar Yurdu University and College.
As part of the event, a video dedicated to the January 20 tragedy was shown, emphasizing the importance of the events that took place during that period.
At the end of the event, winners of the “Essay” and “Drawing” competitions were awarded special prizes.
This conference, organized by Odlar Yurdu University, aims to honor the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan and to pass this glorious history on to the younger generation. Such events are invaluable in terms of instilling patriotism in future generations and increasing their respect for history.
