"Fashion Style – 2019" Fashion festival held at Odlar Yurdu University

Odlar Yurdu University hosted the "Fashion Style – 2019" fashion festival, organized in collaboration with the Baku City Youth and Sports Head Office, the Narimanov District Youth and Sports Department, and Odlar Yurdu University. The festival was dedicated to the 31st of December – Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and brought together students from higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.

The main goal of the event was to showcase the creative potential of young people, support their innovative ideas, and provide meaningful leisure activities.

The festival was attended by the Deputy Head of the Baku City Youth and Sports Head Office, Aydın Yusifov, the Rector of Odlar Yurdu University, Professor Ahmad Valiyev, university faculty members, active youth, and schoolchildren. In his speech, Aydın Yusifov congratulated the participants on the upcoming New Year and the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis, highlighted the history of the holiday, and emphasized the invaluable contribution of national leader Heydar Aliyev in strengthening national unity.

During the festival, students showcased their evening wear designs. Based on the jury's evaluations, the winners were:

• Among female participants:

  • 1st place – Shola Mammadova (Odlar Yurdu University)

  • 2nd place – Rafiqa Karimova (Azerbaijan State University of Economics)

  • 3rd place – Parvana Guliyeva (Odlar Yurdu University)

• Among male participants:

  • 1st place – Nurlan Huseynov (Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University)

  • 2nd place – Vusal Osmanov (Western Caspian University)

  • 3rd place – Azer Atamoglanov (Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts)

The winners were awarded diplomas and gifts by the organizers.

Students from Odlar Yurdu University, Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University, Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports, Western Caspian University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan Technical University, Sumgayit State University, Odlar Yurdu College, and Baku Humanitarian College participated in the festival.

The event concluded with a concert program prepared by Odlar Yurdu University students.
