A seminar organized by the Department of mathematics and digital technologies of Odlar Yurdu University was held recently. At the seminar, Associate Professor of the department and PhD in Technical Sciences, Jamal Ismayilov, delivered a presentation on the topic "Application of Remote Sensing Techniques in Geological Research."
The seminar was attended by the university's faculty members. In his presentation, Dr. Ismayilov provided an in-depth explanation of the physical and mathematical principles of remote sensing techniques and their wide-ranging applications in various fields. Special emphasis was placed on the advantages of remote sensing in mineral detection, the characteristics of satellite imagery, and the methods used for spectral analysis.
Additionally, the seminar featured a comprehensive overview of the classical mathematical-statistical tools and artificial neural network technologies employed in the classification of satellite images. A comparative analysis of these methods was also presented.
During the discussions, suggestions were made to incorporate this technology into the master's programs of IT and engineering specialties at Odlar Yurdu University.
The seminar not only facilitated a rich theoretical discussion but also sparked innovative ideas and perspectives that could contribute to the future development of the field. Odlar Yurdu University continues to enhance the scientific and practical knowledge of its students and academic staff through such events, contributing to the expansion of scientific research and the implementation of emerging technologies.
All participants of the seminar gained valuable insights into modern scientific approaches and technologies, which are expected to significantly support their future academic and professional growth.
