Seminar on Information Security held at Odlar Yurdu University

A scientific and methodological seminar on “Fundamentals of Information Security” was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Digital Technologies at Odlar Yurdu University. The speaker of the seminar, faculty member Aynur Aliyeva, presented detailed information on the key concepts of the field and contemporary security issues.

Opening the seminar, the head of the department emphasized the significance of such scientific-methodological events, noting how they contribute to deepening knowledge in information security and advancing scientific research. During the presentation, topics ranging from cryptography and encryption methods to network security and malware protection techniques were discussed. Additionally, the issues related to ensuring information security within the framework of international standards were also highlighted.

After the seminar, the faculty members of the department engaged in a discussion on the implementation and importance of information security. Measures being taken in both the public and private sectors were reviewed, and various perspectives on developments in the field were shared.

At the end of the seminar, participants put forward a series of proposals and recommendations. The importance of establishing a national school for cryptography was emphasized, and the development of the mathematical foundations of information security was proposed. Further seminars on the topic are planned for the future.
